Intro: What Is Money

Money is something everyone wants more off. Whether that is to buy nicer things or simply to secure the future, money seems like the barrier between where you are now and where you want to be. But why does having more money seem like the only way to solve our problems? That is because money has value? But why does it have value in the first place becuase, at the end of the day, it is just a piece of paper with some ink on it? It definitely has value and must have some value because it can be exchanged for goods and services. But when it comes to setting value that is a more complicated matter. Why is a coffee $1 and not $2? Why is $1=£0.73? And what guarantees that prices will stay where they are and the currencies will not rise and fall?
